BAUDET innovates to serve healthcare establishments!
The Easy Moove system, an innovative idea launched by Baudet, was selected as one of the four finalists at the SANTEXPO Trophées de l’Innovation Awards in the Research & Development category.
About the Easy Moove System
This innovative and adaptable system for prefabricated bathroom pods offers, for the first time in France, the full benefits of a ceiling-mounted lift able to transfer patients from the bedroom to the entire bathroom area and to relieve healthcare teams during cleansing, without causing any loss of face to residents. The Easy Moove System can be handled by one healthcare worker rather than the usual two.
A first in France
The first ever partner for this system, the Les Oiseaux elderly care home in Quimper, aimed to assist teams by making their tasks easier, helping to prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), back pain, reducing the frequency of time off work and occupational diseases caused by tough tasks and reducing the number of healthcare workers required for each task.
A collaborative project
This project was managed in close cooperation with all stakeholders :
- The customer, the Cornouaille housing office (France), which intended to integrate patient lifts in all bedrooms AND bathrooms at the new elderly care home in Quimper
- The architect for the project, Baron Architecte, which was convinced that prefabricated bathroom solutions are the best available option on the market
- The engineering firm mandated to the project, OTEIS Isateg, which provided input for our analysis of the situation
- and Baudet, which developed an innovative system suitable for prefabricated bathrooms.
