Paul Appell university campus – Strasbourg

Specific prefabricated bathrooms for the Paul Appell university residence

The student office or CROUS in Strasbourg selected BAUDET for the renovation of the largest student halls of residence site in Strasbourg, the Paul Appell university campus. This massive, unprecedented renovation project benefits a residence comprising over 1,100 rooms. This project will be broken down into four successive 12-month phases to limit the number of dwellings excluded from rental. The aim of this project is to improve the energy performance of the building by 40% and slightly increase the total capacity of the university campus !

Each room “covers ten square metres, however, thanks to the large number of dwellings, we were able to negotiate the production of a bathroom for each flat, using one mould to create the shower, a toilet and a basin in each room”, explained the architect, Patrick Weber. In fact, BAUDET designed a specific bathroom for the Paul Appell university campus based on the customer’s preferences : built-in tablets, improved shower curtain, etc.
